Summer School Assistance

The Technology Lounge is available Monday thru Thursday for students experiencing difficulties in subject matters, as well as technical issues with the program. There is a math specialist available Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you are experiencing difficulties please come in and receive assistance. If you see us in person, it is much better than phone calls and emails. Also, keep in mind that there are due dates for each class. If an assignment is past due. You will receive a zero. Zeros will not be reset until the end of the course. Excessive zeros will not be reset as students should be working on their classes daily. Please remember that we are here to assist you. However, you must be present for us to do so.

Teens Get A Headstart on the School Year

Right now, about 2,000 backpacks are stuffed with food, school supplies, new clothes, and shoes to be distributed to teens at Zappos Downtown Plaza this weekend.

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Project 150 and HomeAid of Southern Nevada are teaming with Zappos on a free teen shopping day.

From 9:00 am until 2:00 pm Saturday, any teen with an ID will be able to get everything they need to start the school year off right, including school supplies. clothes, shoes, and a free haircut.

Project 150 aims to get homeless teens what they need to succeed and graduate.

Step-Up | College Program

Juniors and seniors enrolled at The Delta Academy can apply to take two free classes a semester at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) FOR FREE!! This opportunity allows students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously for one class. Students can explore college educational paths and/or career and vocational opportunities while attending high school.

Title I Hope Mini-conference

Title I HOPE will be hosting a mini-conference at UNLV on June 27, 2017. Breakout sessions will include topics such as the McKinney-Vento Act, building awareness through interactive activities and community efforts to serve the homeless population in Southern Nevada. Representatives from family, youth and domestic violence shelters will be presenting as well as community agencies that are able to provide services to families and youth in need.
